Electrochemical process applied for produce a green oxide coating on the surface of parts. Shades of color depend on thickness of coating. Thin coatings are usually applied to sheet products which required painting application. Thick coatings are usually applied to castings and provide best combination among abrasion resistance, superficial protection and base preparation to organic coating.
Chrome hexavalent is used for surface preparation to the anodising.

Likewise DOW17 anodising, this process is elctrochemically applied: a pair of egual parts is dipped into a tank with special electrcal equipment and potassium hydroxide and fluoride solution. Applying an alternating current, anodising process produces a compact oxide coating with high abrasion resistance and light brown/brown color depending on the thickness of coating.
Coating thickness applicable is wide, between 5 to 80 micron.
This process is REACH compliant.

Convertion coating process is applied by immersion into tanks containig convertion solutions which, in contact with the part, produce a hexavalent chromium protective film on the surfaces of item. Generally applied on the bonding surface to garantee electrical continuity.
Convertion coating enhance the corrosion resistance and paint adhesion features for organic coatings.
Unlike anodizing process, convertion coating does not change dimensions and, thanks to easy application during assembly and MRO activities, is used for touch-up or anodizing restore.

Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection
Fluorent penetrant inspection is a non-destructive testing generally used for metal materials but, in case of specific technical requirments, can also be used for no metal materials.
With high sensitivity and precision, the inspection points out and make evident open discontinuty such as cracks, porosity and corrosions, although very small dimensions. The inspection is not applicable to porous materials.
